Loretta Dea Barnes, age 62, of Meadville, PA passed away at her residence on Thursday, December 3, 2020 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 4, 1958 to the late Charles Long and Genevieve (Feltenberger) Long. She married Dennis (J.B.) Barnes on January 13, 1989. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2007. She was a 1976 graduate of Saegertown High School. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafting, bird watching, playing video games and spen...ding time with her grandchildren. Loretta is survived by one daughter, Heidi Smith and her husband, Matt of Saegertown, PA and one son, Aaron Barnes of Meadville, PA; five grandchildren, Christopher Tatters and his fiancé, Amanda, Alexa Smith, Brenna Tatters, Sydnie Smith and Mason Tatters. She was preceded in death by her husband, her mother Genevieve Long Mattern and her step-father, Leonard Mattern. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Margaret R. Simmons, age 90, of Johnson Rd., Meadville, PA passed away on November 30, 2020 at Marquette Hospice House. She was born on August 26, 1930. She married Frank O. Simmons on November 7, 1950. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2001. Margaret retired from Ernst Conservation Seed in 2019 after 48 years of service. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Rodgers and her husband, Mark of Rose Hill, KS and Tracy Palka of Meadville, PA and five sons, Gary Sim...mons and his wife, Betsy of Meadville, PA, Lloyd Simmons of Meadville, PA, Clarence Simmons and his wife, Debbie of Atlantic, PA, Wayne Simmons and his significant other, Pam Riley of Geneva, PA and Richard Simmons of Meadville, PA; 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by three sons, Larry, Frank and Edward Simmons. There will be no services at this time. Lacey Sye, age 44, formerly of Sewickley, PA, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Heritage Valley Hospital. She was born on August 10, 1976 to George and Jill Sye. She graduated from Quaker Valley High School then continued to Sewickley Valley School of Nursing and Carlow College to obtain her Registered Nursing degree and Master’s degree. She was employed as a Registered Nurse. Lacey is survived by her mother, Jill Sye of Conneaut Lake, PA; a son, Devin Sye and a ...brother, Derek Sye. She was preceded in death by her father, George Sye. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at her family’s home in Conneaut Lake. Robert W. Richards, age 72, of Meadville, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 26, 2020 at Meadville Medical Center due to COVID-19. He was born on January 8, 1948 in Meadville, PA to the late Robert W. Richards and Francis M. (Quoresimo) Richards. He married Darlene D. Castile on December 3, 1999. She survives. Bob was a 1965 graduate of Meadville High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970. He then worked for and retired from ...National Asbestos Workers. He enjoyed coaching softball, volleyball and baseball when his children were younger. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in their activities. Bob was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and past school board member of Calvary Baptist Christian Academy. In addition to his wife of 20 years, Bob is survived by one daughter, Julie L. Miller and her husband, Scott of Greenville, PA and two sons, Kevin W. Richards of Gaffney, SC and Scott R. Richards and his fiancé, Melissa of Chesnee, SC; six grandchildren, Kory and Kara Miller, Carlee and Cole Richards and Katelyn and Kelly Richards; one sister, Beverly Reinke of Florida, one brother, Gene Richards of Florida; stepmother, Addeline Richards, stepbrothers, Ray, Bobby, Ron and Rick Pecora all from Chicago; a stepsister, Devna; sister-in-law, Helen Richards and several nieces and nephews. Bob had a big and generous heart in which many who were dear to him had a very special place. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Douglas A. Richards. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and healthcare staff at Meadville Medical Center for their great compassionate care. A memorial service will be held at a later date. William Henry Kelly, age 77, of Conneautville, PA passed away on November 19, 2020 after a long battle with his health. He worked many years in the drywall business, mentoring and inspiring others coming into the trade. He was a graduate of Struthers High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Edinboro University of PA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was involved with Crawford and Mercer County’s Consumer Satisfaction Team. He was born in Vaiden, MS ...on October 23, 1943. His father died during the Battle of the Bulge during WWII. Bill or Kelly as he was affectionately known is survived by three brothers: Patrick McLaughlin of Dallas, Texas, Robert McLaughlin of Rolla, Missouri, and Daniel McLaughlin of Poland, Ohio. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Rhonda Lukas of Conneautville. He has six children: William H. Main of Fort Pierce, FL, Samantha D. Woods of Greensburg, IN, Kelly Katie Kelly-Zazado of Erie, PA, Kristopher Kayce Kelly of Tidioute, PA, Kyle Kraig Kelly of Meadville, PA and Kory Kody Kelly of Linesville, PA. In addition, he has 9 granddaughters and 7 grandsons and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Kelly Sr. in January 1945, and his mother, Dorothy M. McLaughlin in April 2010; his stepfather, Robert McLaughlin in November 1999; a wife, his former wife, Julie and a long-time companion, Gayle Lorenz in May 2010. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life within the next year.
