Last night crew utilized our training trailer and worked on search techniques and different scenarios that may happen. Included in that was going through a wall and an entanglement issue with string and wires. Crews operated in black out conditions with no visibility due to wearing our nomex hoods backwards.

The Blandon Fire Company is regretfully announcing that we will not be holding Fire Prevention or providing any demonstrations to local schools or daycares in accordance with CDC Guidelines. We will gladly provide Fire Prevention material to the community, schools and daycares at their request. Per the CDC Guideline: Cancel or postpone special events such as festivals, holiday events, and special performances.... Since the Blandon Fire Company responds to a variety of incidents from motor vehicle accidents and structure fires to medical calls, it is our position that in order to keep those in our community as safe as possible, we have eliminated all non-essential activities. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to Chief Daniel Miller and the Blandon Fire Company through our Facebook page or by calling 610-926-2811. https://www.cdc.gov//schools-c/guidance-for-childcare.html

Thank you to Maidencreek Village Apartments for allowing us to train on their grounds. Crews practiced stretching hose lines from our apparatus to apartment doors on all floors of the building. We appreciate the support we receive from our community! Also, thanks to our photographer Joe Berish for taking photos.
