It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of former Chief Patrick Ballon after a long fight with cancer. Pat was a dedicated leader of the fire depa...rtment as well as the community for many years. Please keep the Ballon family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Give it up - in gratitude that is - for the Made2Mow Crew! These fine gentlemen can be found every Tuesday evening conquering the overgrown corner lots, restor...ing the rambling waterfront banks and hillsides, and recovering the long-lost sidewalks and stairways throughout Brownsville. They sweat. They bleed. They end up covered in poison ivy and mosquito bites. Their reward?! A renewed sense of pride throughout our community - a new hope that gives rise to entrepreneurs, an encouragement to existing businesses, and a greater love to the place we are all proud to call home! So, give these boys a shout out today - visit their local businesses and their favorite hangouts - and remember, they do it not for themselves, but for the love of Brownsville! See more
