Quick rebuild of a few courses of brick that blew off with that crazy storm a few months back. In and out just how I like it. @marbleconcepts and John DiDonato came through with a killer pizza my boys, so naturally he’s at the top of list right now. Thanks John!

Challenging small job here for the Rosenberger Law Firm. These obtuse cuts can play tricks with your mind. A little patience and some 10th grade geometry and gets it done. For the folks who really know what they’re looking at, we left the joints raked to accept a new weather joint when we point the whole building early spring. Happy Sunday my friends. Many thanks to some of my favorite people over at Robinson Flagstone for always taking care of me.

The guys put in a long one yesterday and built the Wiesel’s a new brick wall. Much needed cover up and we are on to the next one. Hoping to do the stone flatwork in this courtyard next year

As you can see we cut out deep and really get a good healthy joint back in. Mortar needs depth and body to hold up over time. Simply chipping off the old finish joint won’t cut around here. You need to get up in there and work out some of that old setting bed so you’re pointing in to sound mortar. Many thanks to one of my favorites, Barb and Mark Denys. Solid folks we really enjoy working with.

Some historical patching for one of my all time favorite clients,Brian and Anne Peters. Many moons ago Brian and Anne gave me my first really big job through Laurel Hill Gardens and we’ve been friendly ever since. @limeworks.us

Another quick wash, cut and point in @limeworks.us. The Old AC unit is driving me bananas but life will go on.

Patsy and John did it again. Full cut out and repointing for the Waters family in Jenkintown. Had a few of the A team jump in on the weekend and help us keep it moving along. Patsy and John really impressed me with the consistency on the wall, nearly impossible to see who was working where, a sign of good hands and an understanding that the little things make a good job a great job.

What a bear this was. First started off with the worst experience I’ve had in 16 years of being in business. I hired a professional expeditor, and I use that loosely, to obtain all the permits needed for the city. What should have been a 5-6 day turn around took over three months. Thankfully the folks at The Frankford Friends School count not have been more accommodating. One hand washes the other, so we really worked this hard to get it down for them and ended up saving them a good bit of $ on the back in with some creative construction approved by the engineer. Thankful we are done here and the kids can carry on. Many thanks to the folks at the Frankford Friends School and @plgiii. That’s a wrap.

Two reclaimed brick chimney restorations. Reclaimed brick is soft so the mortar needs to be softer. We cut out these chimneys deep and repointed with a soft, breathable, and attractive mortar.

Me: Fellas, rip it down and put it back up. Fellas:Say no more fam. Construction is about putting the right guys in the right place. A 2-3 day job with aces gets done in one, saves the client $ and gets us on to another. Win win.
