This is the backside of Barnabas. Nope no front side shots as he’s just not the kinda guy that takes photos or does social media. So this was the only shot one of his fellow staff members sent me. Barnabas, is all about doing his own thing and moving at his own pace. He’s committed to just being down right chill and doing what he loves, which is climbing or more specifically, bouldering. He’s quiet and doesn’t have much to stay often, which at first you may take as rude, but... ask him a question and he’ll give you a solid answer or be sure to find out. Barnabas has been with us since near the beginning 3 years ago, he’s dependable and reliable and a true asset to the shop. If you want to know about a piece of used gear in the shop go find him and he’ll give you the run down on it, he’s been tending to the used gear section since he started and typically knows every item that is back there. Thanks Barnabas for being as unique and chill as you are, it’s always a great joy to have you in the shop! We appreciate your reliability and the vibe you bring to the shop to just slow down and relax.

We hope you all spent the first day of 2021 somewhere outside! We are back at the shop today, regular hours 10am-8pm. Fingers are crossed this rain is snow up in the mountains today and tonight. Tomorrow should be another decent day for kicking and glide through the woods. The Laurel Ridge had some trees down from ice damage and is closed today but tomorrow is looking good. We have ski rentals available and Laurel Mountain or Kooser State Parks are other great options. Be sure to check out @paccsapa for more trail updates and snow conditions around the region.

We are OPEN today Monday 12-6pm - you may have seen an email that says otherwise but disregard. This is the last Monday we are open before Xmas with the Elliotts’. This guy, what can we say, he’s just pretty freakin awesome! Best story ever about him comes from his interview when he said I don’t know much about backpacking really, I only ever just did the AT. Elliott Diamond is one of the chillest folks you’ll meet and beyond humble about his accomplishments like completing the AT. From now through January 31st we are collecting shoes for donation that will benefit local Greyhound Adoption Center (WIGAC). Bring us your gently used clean pair of shoes for donation and receive 10% OFF a new pair of shoes. Discount only applies once per person and must be redeemed at time of donation. G.A.S.P. @gasppgh has been the 3ROC non-profit partner this past season. While we weren’t able to do many outreach and education events with them because of the COVID environment, we are stoked to donate over $300 today to their organization. Money raised comes from many of the 3ROC customers and consignors who choose to donate a portion of their earnings from used gear sales. So a big thanks to all of you for bringing us your used gear to sell and those who love to come shop the used gear. We love giving back to our community!
