Ice Storm Warning URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Mount Holly NJ 315 PM EST Sun Feb 14 2021 ICE STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM MOND...AY TO 10 AM EST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Significant icing expected. Total ice accumulations of three tenths to one half of an inch with up to one inch of snow and sleet. * WHERE...Portions of northern New Jersey and east central and northeast Pennsylvania. * WHEN...From 6 PM Monday to 10 AM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be extremely difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute on Tuesday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel is strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Prepare for possible power outages. Earlier this evening Engine 42 and Tanker 42 with 5 members responded to a house fire assisting Albrightsville Volunteer Fire Company and multiple other departments. Crews assisted with overhaul. Just after clearing the fire scene Station 42 was alerted for a gas leak in our district. Engine 42 and Rescue 42 responded with 7 members.

Public Safety Announcement... Do to the reported increase of COVID-19, there have been report of occupants not being able to smell the smoke during a fire. Thus... alerting them to a problem. Although we cannot confirm of deny these claims, we do have an answer for you!!!! Check your Smoke and CO alarms!!!! If you don’t have one, contact us, we have limited supplies of each. Drop us a line!!! We are more than happy to help! Reminder...... Smoke and CO alarms are best effective with the Battery installed! CO is also Colorless, Odorless and Tasteless! Recommended replacement date of a Smoke alarm is 10yrs, CO alarm is 5yrs. Also clean and dust around these items monthly.
