Civitas Lancaster is the successor organization to the Sertoma Club of Lancaster. They hold a chicken BBQ the 3rd Saturday in May to benefit Long’s Park and other local charities in Lancaster County. Unfortunately due Covid-19 restrictions they were unable to safely have the BBQ. With this being their main fundraiser, they had to look in other directions to be able to raise money, so the Backyard Fun Bash was created. In addition to Long’s Park, proceeds have gone to Compass Mark’s Future Generations, Blessings of Hope, The Salvation Army and Transitional Living Center’s to name a few.
