Remember The Ladies: A Conversation about Women’s Suffrage and Race Thursday, October 8, 6 - 7:30 p.m. Free with RSVP While history has tended to obscure the role African Americans, women and men, played in the women’s suffrage movement, they were a part of the struggle from the... beginning. To honor their work, we must make our votes count. Angela P. Dodson’s book Remember the Ladies: Celebrating Those Who Fought for Freedom at the Ballot Box chronicles the earliest stirrings of the women’s movement in the United States, arising out of the abolition movement, and traces women’s political gains to the present. On Thursday, October 8, the African American Museum in Philadelphia invites you to join us for an online dialogue with Remember the Ladies author Angela Dodson. For this important, timely discussion, Dodson will be joined in conversation by her husband Michael I. Days, Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion of the Philadelphia Media Network and author of Obama’s Legacy: What He Accomplished as President.
