Foundation of Goodness
Since 2014, as part of Lanka Graphite’s corporate social responsibility program, the Company has commenced numerous initiatives to assist and rebuild the community of Sri Lanka.

In 2015, Lanka Graphite Limited donated 9,252,800 Rupees to the Foundation of Goodness,  as the Principal Sponsor of the Murali Harmony Cup 2015 (7th – 11th October), a rural sports development and reconciliation initiative of the Foundation of Goodness.

Through its donation it was able to support 60% of the tournament costs to contribute towards the development of rural cricketers and reconciliation in Sri Lanka. Lanka’s participation in the 4th instalment of the sports reconciliation tournament, for the second year running, will assist in promoting goodwill, unity and harmony which will create awareness through the medium of cricket, and open up opportunities for countless rural sportsmen and women.

Lanka aims to elevate the standards of cricket and all other sporting activities by engaging with children and youths affected by war, and to assist them via activities and sponsorships in the community that will allow them to lead an active lifestyle, promoting and encouraging personal development whilst interacting with more fellow cricketers from across the island.

During the flood in 2016, more than half a million residents of Sri Lanka were driven away from their homes. Lanka Graphite’s local team provided relief to the flood victims by donating rice, food and living essentials.
