The never-ending need for food guarantees agriculture will always require workers. Education is the key to attracting and training the next generation of farmer...s, food scientists and equipment repair workers. In support of agriculture’s future workforce, the Department has a $500,000 grant program that educators can apply to for Ag and Youth Education Grants to fund agriculture education, training and workforce development programs, along with capital projects or equipment purchases. The application window opens January 25.
