With the huge amount of donations we have received, we made the decision to continue collecting donations to go towards St. Helena's Parish throughout the rest of the year. We will be collecting NEW winter apparel as well as canned goods until the 1st week of the new year. Drop off all donations between 11-5:30 pm at 1062 E Lancaster Ave, Bryn Mawr PA. My dear friend Karen is always talking about God winks! Call them coincidences, call it serendipitous, I don’t always go for the mushy Godwink but, today in t...he basement of Saint Helena’s convent I met a little old woman with white hair that looked like Mrs. Claus, That’s right you know the one Santa Claus‘s wife white hair red sweater. Except this was the real deal devoted Mercy Nun Sister Anne Marie.She asked me where I was from and of course being a good Catholic all of a sudden, I gave her every parish I belong to growing up. What a delight to find out that I was sitting in front of the principle of my grade school. She left the little school in Wynnewood a long time ago. She traveled the world with a mission to help others only to come back to Philadelphia and run a food bank where they needed some clothes for children, Thanks to our community supporting, Adolescent and Young Adult Advocates, we were able to deliver. Thank you sister Anne Marie it was great to see you and chat about my family, even if Lizanne was your favorite. Coats for kids! See more

Today Adolescent & Young Adult Advocates dropped off all the donations to @covenanthousepa. As you can see they were grateful. As usual we got a fabulous greeting with lots of love. Our community was generous with their donations this year! We received over 50 pairs of gloves, at least 75 scarves, and 70 coats. Happy holidays! Thank you to all the people that donated this year and all years past.
