American Library Association Student Chapter at Clarion University

Hey everyone! We are sorry that the executive board has been a little MIA when it comes to getting information out to everyone. After a long meeting, we have finally decided the direction we want to take with this student chapter. In years past we had online meetings that were presented by a guest speaker and chapters members had to be in the meeting room at a certain time to be a part of the meeting. We wanted to make this group a little more interactive, and a lot less time... based. We will be opening up discussion boards for members to post in and discuss current topics and library related questions/problems. We want the discussion boards to be a place for people to lend a helping hand when people are in need, inspire others with their ideas, as well as talk about any problems you may be having. We have also updated our chapter bylaws as of February 1, 2018. One of the biggest changes we've made is the elimination of paying dues. By eliminating the due, we are opening up this chapter for more people to join and not have to worry about finances. Lastly, we have had a board member change. Kelcey Stewart is now the current President of the chapter, as of January 7, 2018. We look forward to getting to know all of you and we hope this will be a great change for the future of our chapter here at Clarion. Feel free to email me with any questions, concerns, or comments. Final call for Spring trip attendees! Email Kelcey Hill at [email protected] to confirm your attendance by March 1st! All current members and alumni will receive paid admission into all trip stops curtesy of the chapter. Only pay for lodging, food, and transportation!
