If you are a sewer we have an oldie but a goodie for you! This Singer Featherweight 221 portable sewing machine is available in our Wayne, PA Part 2 auction. The item comes with its original case & booklet. This model came into being all the way back in 1933 & was introduced to the public in a very grand way in the 1934 Chicago World's Fair. The models from that year feature the very cool specialty badge "Century of Progress Chicago 1934". The 221 in the color black ran in production until 1961. Featured here is a impressive early 19th century horse head saber measuring 37.75" (32.5" blade). Saber exhibits engraved blade featuring an eagle and floral motif. The grip features a detailed horse head pommel with some remaining original gilt. Ricasso is stamped "WARRANTED". Saber is housed in a leather scabbard that has been broken into 3 pieces.
