Wait - hear us out! The Christmas tree has not gone up and we promise you won't hear holiday jingles when you come through the door at AO... yet! But like everything else in 2020, the holidays might be a little on the odd side in terms of finding those special gifts for your loved ones. The supply chain is still all sorts of wonky in many ways, so we've been workin' hard to stock up and are trying to encourage folks to start early. With that in mind we have a few pre-holiday..., 'tis (almost) the season deals and giveaways going on at the shop! Beginning tomorrow (through November 27th), any time you spend $150 or more at AO, we'll throw in a free beer chip to enjoy a local brew on us next door at Bent Run Brewing Company. In addition, any time you make a purchase at AO (of any size) you'll be entered into a gift card drawing of your choice from either Goat Fort Climbing or Pennwild Outdoors. We'll have two separate drawings of $25 gift cards to Pennwild, and two separate drawings of $40 gift cards to Goat Fort Climbing (the exact cost for two people to rent shoes, get chalk, and climb for the day). Winners will be plucked from a jar on Wednesday, December 2nd. The shop looks incredible right now! If you haven't been in for a while, pop in and poke around. We have a bunch of unique gifts and gear - with more arriving daily, and a GIANT shipment of kayaks scheduled to arrive Wednesday the 4th. Soberdough Brew Bread mixes are now available in the shop! Pour in your favorite brew (shout out to our neighbors at Bent Run Brewing Company!), stir, and bake! All natural ingredients, dairy-free, made in Tennessee. Nom. Nom. Nom. Happy baking! ;)

Thank you to all these volunteers for their hard work in keeping the North Country Trail in the ANF maintained! We appreciate you!

New trail posters and barnwood frames are finally in the shop! The idea behind our trail posters came from a cross country road trip in 2015 while exploring National Parks. We realized we don't celebrate our special natural places in the ANF nearly as much as we should, and wanted to offer a way for folks to take a piece of the river or trail with them, without actually taking anything from these places. There's a giving back component as well, with a portion of every poster sale going to an organization that maintains these trails and waterways! Shop is open 'til 4pm today for all your outdoor needs!
