Tomorrow, 8/19/2020 is used to observe World Humanitarian Day! This was established as a way to honor humanitarian aids all over the world, how wholesome is that? While I was looking online for ideas / ways we could honor #RealLifeHeroes here at Allegiance Nursing tomorrow, I came across this:... "Being a humanitarian doesn’t have to mean traveling to a war zone the point of humanitarian aid is to alleviate people’s suffering and maintain human dignity. There may be plenty of options for you to do just that close to home. Try volunteering at a homeless shelter, a nursing home, a hospital or a place that serves underprivileged children." I thought this was a great thing that everyone could keep in mind this evening & as we all try to plan our hectic schedules for the days ahead. If all of us take the time to fulfill even a small "humanitarian act," imagine how much better this world would be for everyone. Thank you to all #RealLifeHeroes near and far.

August 9th - 15th is observed as National Health Center Week. It's goal is to bring awareness to the mission of Health Centers & all of the accomplishments made over the past 5 decades. The theme for 2020 is Community Health Centers: Lighting the Way for Healthier Communities Today and in the Future! With all the bad things going on in the world today, we would love to help bring as much Light as we possibly can!... We felt this wonderful article from NHCW.org was well worth the share!- "Community Health Centers serve as the beacon of strength, service, and care in their communities. In moments of pain and loss, they offer support and love. In moments of triumph, they offer hope and a vision for the future. Let’s come together this week to celebrate the roles Community Health Centers have played in both our recent moments of loss and triumph. This National Health Center Week honors those front line providers, staff, and beloved patients who lost their lives during the (ongoing) COVID-19 pandemic. From the very beginning of the crisis, Community Health Centers began finding innovative ways to provide preventative and primary care to their patients. During this week of remembrance, light a candle for those community health leaders, patients that we lost. As we commemorate those lives and celebrate the future of Community Health, let’s shine a light across the country that will embody the future of primary health care aces for underserved populations. Shine a light on your Community Health Center and share the value that it brings to everyone who it touches. Happy National Nurses Day, from everyone here at Allegiance Nursing, Inc! Today we begin a celebration of the true Superheroes In Scrubs! & a very special thank you to our very own Superheroes - Karen, Trudy & Jami, who work so hard alongside all of our amazing Aides ensuring the health & safety of our beloved clients. We truly appreciate all of your hard work!... May 6th - 12th is Nurse's Week, and I think that now more than ever, all Nurses should be overwhelmed with appreciation. Let's come together to make that happen. This Pandemic has once again shown the world just how dedicated, selfless, and amazing ALL Nurses are. They are tired, yet they refuse to give up until everyone around them is completely safe. Take the time to simply say Thank You! Take time to show a Nurse a small act of kindness, and give them a smile! We notice you, Nurses, and we appreciate all that you sacrifice daily to keep us, our families, and loved ones safe! Thank You!
