Pittsburgh tennis has never been the same with the additiion of Alpha Tennis and Fitness Tennis Club. Play on any of our 6 Indoor Courts or 2 QuickStart Courts, Deco Turf Surface for consistent play. Courts are computer ready with high tech cameras & speed guns for serving. PTR/USPTA Certified Teaching Pros, Open Court Time, top tennis training for all ages. Friendly -- Tennis instruction pros make newcomers feel happy and welcome on the court, ready to have fun and get in on the action. The pro will learn the names of all participants at the lesson and put them at ease Our tennis pros will demonstrate the break-down of the stroke for teaching stroke techniques -- Whether in slow motion or regular speed (usually both) the pro can demonstrate every stroke from a simple fundamental base to the more complex components. Our tennis pros have excellent feeding skills -- In a group situation, the pro knows multi-rhythm feeding, meaning that there should be two balls in the air at virtually the same time. By knowing multi-rhythm feeding, the quality of your group drill session will be greatly enhanced. Our tennis pros understand the requirement for individual attention -- Your pro should have the ability to give quick individual help to personalize the group learning experience, while still keeping the group in action. The pro knows that everyone should be getting full value for their time and an abundance of focused tennis activity makes the lesson fun. Our tennis pros will teach lessons effectively -- When a well-trained pro wraps up a lesson, he/she reviews each person's performance, reminds the student of the importance of practice and schedules the next tennis lesson. Our tennis pros will show students how to practice -- The pro will have a number of ways to show novice players how to practice, whether giving demonstrations against a backboard, serving on an empty side court, or using a ball machine, with or without a partner(s). Cares for players/students -- Pro will continually follow up on the development of his students with phone calls, notes or emails.
