Today, we said farewell to our friend and 40+ year member, Susan Martin. For so many EMS providers throughout the county, the beginnings of our careers in this field can likely be traced to a classroom with Sue in the front, sharing her knowledge, expertise, and a few war stories. Many more police officers and firefighters in Delaware County probably recall a CPR class (or ten!) with Sue at the helm. ... Sue was feisty. She was strong. She had a tough exterior. She was also kind-hearted, passionate, and loving. She will be missed.

Today is SUDEP Action Day. Diane is a tireless educator, making sure that all first responders are aware of this not very well known, fatal complication of epilepsy. She has been instrumental in bringing education to first responders around the tri-state area, including our EMTs at Springfield Ambulance. #SUDEP #SUDEPActionDay2020

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Bob Bansept, who passed away yesterday after a brief illness. It was a rare call when Bob didn’t jump down from the driver’s seat of the responding fire truck with a smile and a wave. He will be missed.

If you can stay home, stay home!! Don’t drive through water. It’s hard to tell how deep it is and impossible to know the condition of the roadway under the water! Stay safe! #Isaias #TurnAroundDoNotDrown
