As communicated via email, the Club will hold a virtual special meeting on Sunday at 2:00. The purpose of the meeting is to review and vote on Bylaw changes recommended by the Board. As a special meeting, this will be the only topic on the agenda. The meeting is open to all Regular Members. A zoom link was included in the email. Message us or contact any board member is you need it. We hope to "see" you in zoom on Sunday!

This video is from the 2009 Super Bowl Party at the Club. It was fun to see some familiar faces ten plus years ago. Now for some trivia: Who were the two teams in the big game and what play that day is referred to by some as the greatest in Super Bowl history? The first to answer correctly will receive their first drink free when the Club reopens. Have a great Super Bowl Sunday!

The Club would like to thank our members who attended the 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting on Sunday. Now it's on to 2021! Look for a special meeting on February 14 to approve the bylaw changes presented on Sunday. Also, the start of the year marks a new dues period. We'd like you to keep in mind a few things. Unfortunately, the Covid closures had a significant effect on the Club’s financial situation. For the year ended December 31, 2020, we expect to incur a loss of ~ $15,000.... This is a terrific loss for the club. It is a decrease in profit of almost $40,000 from what the club earned in 2019. We are now also tasked with replacing a boiler (~$8,000) due to a small fire that rendered it irreparable in December 2020. Hvala Bogu, we caught the fire quickly and were able to extinguish it without anyone being harmed. In spite of these trying times, the club has managed to remain debt free and your Board will make every effort to keep it that way. With 2021 bringing an equally bleak financial outlook, we want to thank you for continuing to support the club with your 2021 membership dues. Your prompt payment of dues is appreciated to avoid costly mailers in pursuit of payment. You can pay by check or PayPal (link below). Your dues are helping to maintain a foundation for our cultures, traditions, music, comradery, and friendships to grow and flourish again when it is safe and legal to open. It is an honor and a privilege to be part of such an amazing community and to have a club we can call home. We look forward to kolo dancing next to you, singing, laughing, hugging and kissing, and reveling in the joys of what it means to be a Serb. Now, it sometimes feels as though all you have are memories of different times, and my goodness, what beautiful memories we have all been blessed to keep. Niko nema sto Srbin imade! Join Dane Topich for a virtual Serbian Day Picnic to celebrate 3-Day Weekend with some Serbian Sounds of Music. He'll be live from his "dungeon" in the Facebook group Virtual Zabava. All the music will be from 3-Day bands such as Istina, Serbez, Radost, Osvezenje and more. It all starts at 4:00 EDT.

Dane Topich can't let 3-Day go. Join him for a virtual Serbian Day Picnic, live from Dane's Dungeon, this Sunday at 4:00. He will be live in the Facebook group Virtual Zabava featuring the bands and artists from 3-Day past. Enjoy a little "Serbian Sounds of Music"!

We are grateful for the liberties that we enjoy today! The Club wishes all our members a safe and Happy Independence Day!

As we enter July, the Club wanted to make our members aware that 3-Day Weekend is officially cancelled There are no activities planned; we'll have to wait until next year to celebrate this wonderful weekend of Serbian spirit. As restrictions change, the Club will look for ways to safely open for our members, while following all appropriate mandates and guidelines. We'll announce details as opportunities arise. Until then, stay safe and healthy!

On Sunday, The American Serbian Club Foundation awarded Mariana Bajich and Nina Topich the 2020 Scholarship in the amount of $1000 each. Foundation President Dustin Defebo made the presentation. Congrats to our graduating high school seniors and best wishes in your college careers. Since 2013 the Foundation awarded $22000 in scholarships. Graduating seniors of Regular Members who meet the qualifications receive an award. The American Serbian Club Foundation is pleased to present the 2020 Scholarship Award Winners. Mariana Bajich, daughter of Club members Bati and Lori Glenn Bajich, graduated from Norwin High School and will attend the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg (H2P!) majoring in pharmacy. Nina Topich, daughter of Club Members Dane and Marija Topich, graduated from North Hills High School and will attend the University of Akron (Go Zips!) majoring in marketing. Both ladies are act...ive participants in their respective churches as well as members of the St. Nicholas Serbian Tamburitzans. Mariana and Nina will each receive $1000 to help with their college education. We congratulate them and offer our best wishes for a successful college experience! A few quick updates from the Club heading into the weekend. First, there will be a deep cleaning session on Saturday the 20th beginning at 10:00. Please come by and help. The more the merrier! The cleaning helps the Club reopen for the 1st Ever South Side City Picnic at the Club on Sunday June 28. We're moving the picnic to the Club.
