A new service to be added shortly. As I approach my 40th year in business. I'm about to market my experience exclusively to the handy homeowner as a "Masonry consultant". For an hourly fee I will review your project, estimate your materials, evaluate what equipment you will need to buy or rent and coach you into your process. Should you need my services as you continue I will make myself available to you. We are exploring the interest in this at this time and will determine rates shortly. More to follow by spring.

I learned a valuable lesson years ago. "Put the day in the toolbox to rest with the tools."

It's been an unusual year for all of us. Impossible to stay on schedule. Delays, lack of material availability, cov19 related issues, etc. We've done our best. Some customers are upset, sorry. We can only do so much. I'm grateful for the work and we will continue on. Thank you all.

I remember 40 years ago the respect I had for the men in my chosen trade who had made their mark, paid their dues, so to speak. I was honored when any one of them noticed my work. Paid me a compliment. Offered advice or sometimes a helping hand. I never envied them. I didn't undercut them when we bid on the same jobs. It was a privilege to be in their company. Often times we allowed one another in on a quote because one of us or the other had enough work. That way we kept the price competitive and we all profited. Now it seems there are those who view us who've been around awhile much differently. And it's sad. There's so much more to gain from comradery.

Now is the time to, resurface old basement walls, re-point a stone fireplace, build you a bar in your den, recreate or restore old indoor masonry. In just about 2 months the weather will break and the outdoor projects already scheduled will begin.

Winter on the way, redue your basement walls, facelift your den in stone, fireplace needs a repoint, build you a bar ? Always looking for an inside job.

Be aware of your talents and weaknesses. Reflect confidence without arrogance. Be responsive, dependable, professional and accommodating. Find solutions not excuses. Accept compliments with grace and humility. Be willing always. And most importantly, be grateful. (These are the attributes of a businessman). And they are equally important as an employee.

I had to hire my mentor to teach me my trade. Now I pay to be able to teach. Gratefully, I recognized and appreciated my investment.

The most amazing thing has happened today May 29, 2019. For more than 15 years our investment property at 220 Willow Street in Dunmore, Pa 18512 has been plagued with basement flooding, every time it rained for more than 15 minutes and only after a brief shower. But today I am, delighted to report no water in the basement after two days of torrential down pours. Thanks to a mason...ry genius Tony Amico ; who not only designed and fabricated an amazing system, that diverted any water from entering the basement and created beautiful patio and sidewalk that I am sure will increased the value of the property 100%. Thank you Tony from the bottom of our hearts for an amazing job well done. You are truly an amazing skilled craftsman and I am proud to have meet you and hope to call you a good friend.
