In 2020, we had a record year. We closed 290 transactions in total. This was mentioned to one of our lender reps. and she said, "You do realize that you closed more than 1 transaction every business day last year. For a business your size, that is quite an accomplishment." I had not really thought about it at the time, but it gave me pause as I wanted to ensure that our level of service to our customers had not waivered. Over the past 3 yrs., we have been actively seekin...g our customers' opinions on our service by asking them to provide a Zillow Review. We just received one recently that has confirmed for me that we are continuing to deliver the highest quality of service possible. It goes without saying that 2020 has been an unusual and difficult year. Real Estate is back in business effective today!

We are in need of a Notary that can notarize documents at my office tomorrow, 3/27 and on Monday, 3/30. Can anyone make a recommendation?

Banks, Credit Unions, and Non-Depository Licensees NOT Required to Shutdown Physical Locations The Department of Banking and Securities has received a number of questions about whether banks and other financial institutions are subject to Governor Wolf's order that non-life-sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania close their physical locations in order to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19. Please be aware that banks, credit unions, and non-depository licensees are NOT required to shut down their physical locations. Credit intermediation and related activities also do not require physical closure. Banks, credit unions, and non-depository licensees are encouraged to remain open and operational and to follow best practices for social distancing.

State of the Mortgage Industry We are in an unprecented time in the mortgage industry right now due to the Covid-19 global outbreak and the Federal Reserve Board's actions to attempt to spur the economy foward during it. The result was a 3 week or so period of rapidly declining mortgage interest rates. This resulted in a demand for refinance transactions that lenders were not prepared for. Toward the end of the first week in March, lenders reached their capacity to work th...rough their loan volume and close transaction within each loans respective rate lock periods. A lender's responsibility regarding a rate lock is to close the transaction within that time period under the rate & terms secured in it. They are obligated to do so. Working at capacity put all lenders in uncharted territories. They have all increased their rates over the past week not due to market conditions, but due to their inability to take on more business at the same pace and close them within their rate lock periods. Any past customers or new customers that I have seeking a refinance, I would urge you to wait this out a bit as I do expect that, once lender's get caught up on their current workloads, will begin to reduce their rates over time. I cannot; however, predict when exactly that may occur. For my purchases, I have lenders that are purchase-mortgage focused and are providing price breaks on purchase business. I will get you the best rate available in order to ensure that your purchase transactions close on time.
