The City of Madeira Beach Fire Department in Florida asked the community to make spirits bright this year. This Christmas Card Drive was designed to give hope, love and Christmas spirit. Arden Courts of Seminole received a call asking if the fire department could deliver Christmas cards to our residents and then another call asking if they could bring teddy bears also. Arden Courts excitedly welcomed the gifts for the residents! Fire Chief Belk and Fire Inspector Perez stopped by and delivered the gifts to Arden Courts. Arden Courts of Seminole would like to thank the community for such an outpouring of love and the Madeira Beach Fire Department for the very special delivery. Merry Christmas to the Seminole community and Madeira Beach Fire Department! #HereForYou

You never know the impact one act of caregiving can have on a resident and for those caring for our residents. Here’s one person’s story from Arden Courts of Seminole Paige, Gale & I had the opportunity to support Arden Courts of Seminole (FL) who brought all the residents outside bundled up in blankets with a cup of hot chocolate to be warm. The residents didn’t know why they were outside, but Arden Courts arranged for their families to drive by in decorated vehicles for ...a Holiday Parade. As the cars passed, Paige played holiday music in the background. One particular resident had her head down when her husband first drove by, and I know he was a bit disappointed that she didn’t acknowledge him. The Arden Courts team asked her husband to drive through again. This time, as Paige played the music, everyone started singing Jingle Bells. Not only did this resident respond by trying to sing along, but she lifted her head and actually smiled at her husband when he stopped his truck in front of her and waved. I have to tell you, the impact of that moment brought me to tears. Daphne, Seasons Hospice See more
