We had such a wonderful Santa Prep workshop this weekend. We made plates for Santa’s cookies, we made glittery reindeer food, and we created a beautiful letter for Santa! Our class of primarily 8 yr olds is fantastic! In this project, we painted a fall woods scene with #birchtrees . We learned about #perspective and how the trees can give the illusion of getting smaller in space. We learned about different painting techniques, we used a variety of tools to create this painting, and the kids had a lot of fun color mixing! We also studied the texture of the tree bark and added thick paint! We made a vibrant and whimsical leaf mobile in our last Toddler and Me art class for the fall. They painted with foam rollers, learned how to paint wet on wet and watch magic happen as they dusted it with salt, as well as, made prints with bubble wrap. Great job creating these beautiful mobiles. We can’t wait for our next Toddler and Me classes, starting November 30th. We will be making tons of holiday art. I will miss this special group of art fundamentals kiddos! This was an exceptional group of little artists - mostly 8 yrs old. In this project, they learned drawing techniques and how to make realistic pine trees, in space. They drew and shades (added texture) to everything, and then we also used watercolor to bring our drawing to life. These turned out so lovely! Oh my goodness! Our Mal paint night on Friday was such a huge hit with these adorable Descendants lovers! They did such an amazing job creating these paintings! We had fun making cute hedgehogs playing in a pile of fall leaves with our Toddler and Me class earlier this week! They continued to practice drawing straight and curvy lines on their background and watched the magic of oil resist when they painted blue watercolor for the sky.
