On August the 6th A.I.M., Inc. finished up a two and a half month internship with Alexander Kestner of Anderson, Indiana. Alex was put in charge of reorganizing our main Wearhouse (relabeling 350 shipping bins of smalls, set dressing and props), cataloging and labeling our Arms Room, refinishing gun stocks and pistol grips, and a long overdue sword and edge weapon maintenance (Alex has an interest in sword collecting). Alex also assisted in the building of our new 8'X8' lay ...out tables as well as physical plant maintenance. Alex did get a chance to make it onto the film set for one of our short films ‘Choosing to be an American People’ where he worked as a set dresser. He also got a chance to assist in the last touch ups in the National Museum of the American Army before their grand reopening on June 14th. Alex now heads off for Purdue University where he will be a sophomore carrying a double major in Physics and Chemistry. It is his goal to work in the Space Programs at NASA. We here at A.I.M, Inc. were more than willing to get him in touch with our contact at NASA to hopefully help make his dreams a reality. I did my best to empower Alex with a few new and unusual experiences, opening his mind to things that just might help him out one day when he is standing on some other planet or moon for the first time. Having two degrees in Science myself, I tried to instill in him that no matter what you are doing Science is always at that core. When I asked Alex what he will carry away from his time here he had this to say, " I never thought that this would be such hard work, we work every day all the time, this business is way more than art. You (Jeremiah) have to be involved in every facet of running the business. I don't know how you do it." My reply was "I surround myself with people that are better at the individual tasks they are in charge of than I am". Thank you for all you did for us Alex!
