This moment from Matt and Sara’s elopement was so special. It was only Matt, Sara, and Matt’s Parents in a park in Washington DC. They walked over from Matt’s childhood home. We had all planned for a big celebration in Vermont on this day but that got postponed. Matt’s dad officiated. His mom wore a mask until it was time for photos. Before we left to take more photos, his mom came up and gave them these looks of love. I got to capture it at a distance. But I can FEEL her ...love for her son and daughter in law so much in these. I have quarantined for over 2 weeks and gotten 2 Covid tests in that time (since I had flown) just to make sure it was safe to hug my own mom for Christmas. Times are weird right now. But good moments still happen. I’ve seen them. I’m so grateful to have been allowed a peek into them. More will come. I promise. I am currently treasuring this time with my parents so please bare with me as my emails may be a bit delayed. No matter how you are able to celebrate this year and with or without whom, I hope you get to feel a moment of love and peace. Happy Holidays! See y’all/yinz in 2021

I love this job. Even during one of the craziest years ever. Taking photos always keeps me tapped into my higher self, present, and also humble. If you have let me be a fly on the wall, a part time fairy godmother, or a cheerleader on your wedding day I thank you. They drove from Vermont to elope in DC in a park across the street from Matt’s childhood home. We then went to the steps of the Supreme Court and the Lincoln Memorial. I’lll never forget this adventure and I’m so grateful that I get to see this couple for a 3rd year in a row when they do it up in Vermont next year. Epic Bouquet by @urbanflora_va
