This week a client astutely observed how this most recent onslaught of racially motivated acts of brutality and murder amidst a country (indeed world) strugglin...g under the pandemic was not only traumatic, but triggering post-traumatic symptoms from a few years ago. During this deeply distressing time, we at Journey want you to know we are here for you and see you. Please reach out without hesitation caused by fear or shame if you are feeling unusually anxious, struggling with disrupted sleep, emotional outbursts or other symptoms at this time. We value you and want to help empower you and support you as unique, resilient and creative humans! Contact us at (833)4UR-JRNY/(833)487-5769 or email our office manager at [email protected].

Good morning friends! As you are aware, last year I formed an LLC with two amazing humans, Tyler Titus and Rachel Anysz. Since then Journey to a Trauma-Informed Life, LLC is quickly evolving beyond what we originally envisioned. We will be making several announcements in the next few months. Before we do this, I've decided to merge this business page with Journey's. So, please bear with me as I change the name and look of this page and move us all over to Journey's page over the next week or so.

Yesterday I heard from a Dr who had the privilege of performing gender confirmation surgery for a client of mine in her 60s. This woman had wanted this since 1969 (longer than I've been alive). I was brought to tears at the beauty of her reaction upon waking up in the body she has been longing for her whole life. I'm grateful for the opportunity to walk with some amazingly resilient and persistent humans like her.

Looking forward to talking with Sarah Reed this morning regarding competent trauma-informed care of LGBTQ youth!
