Its not all lighting and fireplace items, here are some cast hinges and door knobs recently completed for Iolani Palace in Hawaii, copies of originals that are found in the mansion. We have been working at repairing restoring and reproducing hardware at this location since the early 70's. These items are made in White Bronze, which is a very unique metal, it looks very much like silver when polished but is resistant to oxidation, so it retains its polished finish far longer than more typical hardware metals like brass or bronze.

This customer came to us with a design idea several months ago to create this cast bronze decorative metalwork piece for above an entry door. We created this starting first by creating a full size wooden size template made on site to fit the space where the light would be installed. It has a cast bronze framework and a unique woven brass banding for the face, it also features a replica of the customers family crest which has a separate light source behind it. As with many of our custom projects this one presented numerous challenges and many hands in our shop went into the completion and installation of this piece. We are still making 2 flanking gas lanterns for this house so soon we will have some completed images, maybe after dark.
