We have some great art to share and some wonderful local products and gift certificate in our first online auction to support the BCRAC and our Historic Theatres. We sure miss seeing you all, join us for this two-date online event December 18 and 19!
Follow the brick-paved road? Look at the bricks that arrived this week! Many people have supported us with brick purchases over the last several months. The engraving process has been slowed and affected greatly by Covid19, but the bricks are here! If you ordered a brick, the theater managers will be reaching out to you to let you know when they will be placing them and invite you to come see your brick in place. If you haven't ordered a brick and would like to do so as a Christmas gift or other occasion, we would be happy to send you information. Contact us at [email protected]. Brick are available for the Keystone, Rialto, and Sayre Theatre brick plazas!
The BCRAC Historic Theatres, like so many shuttered businesses, are financially stressed but continue working to deliver arts programming and movie opportunities for families in our private rental program. Over 500 Art Again Kits, which use recycled and leftover art materials to create new art, have been distributed throughout the county during the pandemic. The kits are free and have been handed out at our Curbside Popcorn events and in partnership with the Children's Hunger Outreach Partners (CHOP) pop-up food pantries and we will continue this program while out movie screens remain dark. We are here, and we need your help and your friendship. Consider a donation of cash or art supplies during this unusual time! We are sharing the fundraisers of our supporters to thank them for lifting us up at this time! Blessing to all.
Last Thursday, November 19th, we hosted a Thursdays in the Studio event with Pressed Flower Artist and Owner of Wildflower & Fern, Lori Beinlich. Participants were taught how to make their very own dish set. The dishes were then sent with Lori to be baked and sealed. Browse through the photos to see their beautiful creations!
