OK, I am NOT a skiier...or even a "winter guy"...but this looks a little like fun. We're just a few miles from the slopes...and it's looking to be a great winter. Just sayin. See you soon?

Today is Pearl Harbor Day. It doesn't have a lot to do with Ligonier, but I wanted to acknowledge the day and my late grandfather, Tom Miller, a WWII veteran and Pearl Harbor attack survivor. He died last year at 98 and half years...just before the 75th Anniversary commemoration. The newspaper in Honolulu was gathering stories for the 75th event and did an interview with him a few weeks before he died. I would like to remember him, and Pearl Harbor, by posting this with you... today. If you would like to read a short piece about his experience, or better, share this with others to help commemorate the men and women who experienced this moment in history, I hope you will. Best Tom https://www.hawaii.com/blog/pearl-harbor-thomas-miller/

Making us think of a couple from last winter who booked the cottage for a Seven Springs ski trip...when they arrived, we mentioned that Laurel Mountain was just a few miles away. Husband ended up snowboarding there and loved it - but didn't even know it was there when booking. SO, now is a good time to remind you that if you are into winter sports - we're just about 10 minutes from the slopes. Come and see (and ski) the steepest vertical drop in Pennsylvania this winter.
