The Borough of Bernville is currently accepting applications for part-time public works employees. Public works employees are responsible for mowing borough property (borough hall, the two parks, and water facilities), helping to open/close the park for rentals, maintain the mulch pile/woodchip branches, among other things. After speaking with our contracted plow service the decision to issue a Snow Emergency for the Borough of Bernville will be in effect as of Wednesday, December 16, 2020 starting at 8:30 PM until further notice. Please remove all vehicles from designated Snow Emergency routes. All residents will be notified when the Snow Emergency is lifted. We thank you for your cooperation during this time.
I'm hoping if I post it, we won't need it... Ordinance #235 SNOW EMERGENCIES This designates Snow Emergency Routes within the borough. When the mayor declares a snow and ice emergency, there is no parking from Garfield Road to Shartlesville Road on Main Street and no parking on Second and Third Streets from Main Street to Route 183. For snow emergency information: Radio (WEEU/830AM; WRFY/102FM; WIOV/105.1FM), TV (Berks-Lehigh News WFMZ Channel 69 on cable channel 9).... We will also do our best to post it here on Facebook, bervilleborough.org and the digital road sign at borough hall. Stay safe.
In preparation of the expected snow this Wednesday trash will be picked up start as early as 4 a.m. So you if you normally put your trash out Wednesday morning you may want to consider doing it the evening before.
***ATTENTION BERNVILLE RESIDENTS *** BE ON THE LOOKOUT!!! The firefighters of BCFC were notified that Santa will be coming to town the night of December 19th to... spread Christmas cheer. Santa loves to ride the BCFC fire trucks and make noise for all the children to hear. A map/route will be provided closer to date with an estimated time of Santa’s arrival.
