Even though Hanukkah is over, we continue to celebrate the spirit of community. Bethesda Project supporter Jordan's daughter (who is nine) asked her neighbor Charlie what he wanted for Hanukkah. He said to donate money to people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. So, the family made a gift to support the guests and residents at Bethesda Project in Charlie's honor! "When this generation grows up," Jordan says, "hopefully we don’t need [shelters]." With your help, we can make this happen -- we can make sure everyone has a home. Join Jordan and her family in making a gift this holiday season at www.bethesdaproject.org/give.

Tony Medwid, our Mission Development Facilitator, has been a huge champion of Bethesda Project. At the end of November, Tony will retire from his role at the organization. Tony’s tremendous passion for our mission shows in his work over the past 30 years with the lives he’s touched, programs he’s helped develop, and tremendous bonds he’s formed. While he may be leaving his role, he’ll always be a part of the Bethesda Project community.
Join us on October 23rd at 12pm for a webinar featuring guests speakers from the Associated Services for the Blind introducing services available for those experiencing low vision or blindness through dialogue and scenarios. While the focus is on what volunteers might encounter during their time at Bethesda Project, this cultural competency training can be expanded to other areas in your lives. RSVP here:

We're so glad to have her as a part of our Bethesda Project community. For the full video of her interview, visit us at bit.ly/2ER974a
