Leah and Garrett's creekside wedding was the perfect 2020 micro wedding. A small number of family and friends quarantined for weeks to celebrate their love, and it could not have been more perfect. The day started with a picturesque creekside ceremony; both the bride and groom looked entirely at home in the forest. The couple wanted the ceremony to be intimate and personal, officiated by a close friend Leah and Garrett exchanged handwritten vows that reflected on the many ye...ars they've spent together and what all is to come. Cheers roared through the forest as the ceremony concluded, followed by a celebratory champagne toast. The couple fully embraced the day and did not hesitate to ditch their shoes and jump into the creek after exchanging their vows. The reception reflected the couple's natural laid back style. Farm tables were overflowing with gauze, candles, and mixed glass vases filled with delicate blooms. Soft grey linens with cascading arrangements atop of vintage milk glass compotes added texture and elegance. Each place setting was adorned with hand-dyed napkins, linen place cards, and a sprig of greeneryour favorite part, locally sourced hand sanitizer bottles, which complimented the design and served a purpose. Very 2020. Every part of Leah and Garrett's day was deeply personal, and the first dance was no exception. The bride and groom kicked off the reception with an acoustic performance by one of the groomsmen. Guests indulged in custom woodfired pizza creations and individually wrapped fruit tarts. The night concluded with a stunning sunset and a bonfire to cap off the perfect day. Congratulations, Leah and Garrett! Happy 2021! We are back and ready to take on another year of beautiful events. 2020 was the year of the intimate celebrations, and Leah and Garrett's creekside ceremony was just that. We can't wait to share their full day with you this week! @janascottphoto

This year has been challenging, to say the least. We postponed, canceled, changed plans, changed them again, and yes, changed them once again. We could look back on this year as a negative experience, but instead, we are focusing on the positives! Our industry is resilient. We are beyond thankful for our group of amazing vendors that went above and beyond to accommodate every adjustment thrown their way. All of our vendors put the client first and made some amazing celebra...tions happen this past year, no matter how small. We leaned on one another for support, reached out for advice, and did whatever was needed. For that, we are so grateful. Some clients made the painful decision to postpone knowing their big day wouldn't be the same without all their families and friends. Some just couldn't wait to be with the love of their life any longer and adjusted to smaller intimate gatherings, which were truly magical. Planning meetings switched to video calls, masks were worn, and we kept our distance no matter how much we wanted to give our clients a great big hug. Our hearts broke for all of our clients this year at one point or another, but we created some amazing memories and know next year will be filled with some seriously fantastic events. This year has proved that no obstacle can stop love. We genuinely care for all of our clients, and they are the reason we love our jobs as much as we do. We are so thankful for each and every one of you, past and future! This year has shown us that we can get through even the toughest times if we all pull together and be there for one another. So chin up, stay positive, be thankful for what you have, and cheers to 2021 ! We will be taking a break from social media until January 4th to spend some quality time with our families.
