Bloomsburg University Community Orchestra 23.01.2021

It is with a heavy heart that we share that our longtime timpanist, Jack Davenport, has passed away this past week. Jack was a charter member of the Bloomsburg University Community Orchestra, being a member for 47 or 48 years! He always arrived early for rehearsals and performances and was prepared. And when the conductor threw a curveball at him for a change in timbre or order of rehearsal (or even asking him to play something besides timpani), he was always willing to help out and go with the flow. He will be missed.

#redalertrestart #saveourstages #wemakeevents support is needed for performing arts venues and artists! Please contact your US Representative and Senators and ...and tell them you want them to pass the RESTART act! We’re thrilled to be resident student producers of Arts in Bloom of Bloomsburg University at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, sponsored by the BU Community Government Association! All of these folks are working together with us to prepare the next generation of theatre and live entertainment artists and technicians. Special thanks to Abby Manns and the PAF crew for making this happen tonight! Looks awesome!!
