Once again, join us for yoga in the garden at the Boalsburg Heritage Museum Wednesday, September 9, at 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. with TriYoga of Central Pa!

OUTDOOR YOGA at the Museum! On Wednesday nights starting on September 2 until October 28, TriYoga of Central PA will offer a basics yoga class in the garden of the BHM from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. We are happy to reach out and welcome this local business to our Museum.

Phyllis High, a active volunteer and docent at the Boalsburg Heritage Museum died on August 12, 2020. We will miss Phyllis and her extensive knowledge of Boalsburg history. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Museum at: Boalsburgheritagemuseum.org or P.O Box 346, Boalsburg Pa 16827

Sadly, Dr. Janice McElhoe passed away on July 13, 2020. Janice, who grew up in Boalsburg, was active on the Board of the Boalsburg Heritage Museum. A former elementary school teacher, she was the author of several books and pamphlets about the history of Boalsburg. Services for Janice McElhoe will take place at the Koch Funeral Home on July 24, at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions in Janice's name may be made to the Boalsburg Heritage Museum, at: www.BoalsburgHeritageMuseum.org or mailed to P. Sadly, Marie Fedon died on June 22, 2020. Marie recognized the business potential and charm of Boalsburg and in 1969, along with Marilyn Tammen and Sally Timpe, opened the Country Sampler in the old IOOF Hall on the square. The Country Sampler was a unique and wonderful gift shop where Marie offered cooking classes and shared her recipes with her customers. Marie created a special Boalsburg memory for many of us.

We are pleased to welcome Gabrielle Barone as the IT/Communications Consultant and Intern for the Boalsburg Heritage Museum. Gabby, who is from Shingletown, is a recent graduate of Penn State with a major in Print/Digital Journalism. She has had extensive internship, teaching and writing experience with the Smithsonian Institute, The Bellisario College of Communications, Centre Furnace Mansion, The Centre Daily Times, and The Daily Collegian.

Thank you to all who participated in the community Centre Gives campaign! The Museum raised $3,041.00 from 62 donors for which we are very grateful

Plans for Memorial Day in Boalsburg, 2020

As of noon today fifty friends have given $2,700.00 to the Museum through Centre Gives. Thank you all! There is still time to donate to the Boalsburg Heritage Museum at CentreGive.org until 9:00 tonight, May 13.
