BYC baseball follows the refund policy of the governing BYC Board. A full refund (excluding SportsEngine fees) will be provided if the season is cancelled due to COVID related restrictions prior to the start of the regular season. BYC will be hosting a Basketball Clinic for both boys and girls grades K to 6th grade on 1/17 and 1/24. Due to the State of PA travel restrictions, the clinic is only open to PA residents. No spectators will be permitted during these clinics. Location: The clinic will be held at the BYC Fieldhouse, 47 Thornton Rd,Glen Mills, PA Coaches: AAU Delco Goats, Local varsity HS basketball coaches, formal WNBA player, and former college players. ... Date/Time: 1/17/21 K to 2nd grade 9a to 10a 3rd to 6th grade 10:30a to 12p Date/Time: 1/24/21 K to 2nd grade 9a to 10a 3rd to 6th grade 10:30a to 12p Cost: K to 2nd grade: $30 per each session or $55 for both 3rd to 6th grade: $40 per each session or $75 for both You can sign up for one day or sign up for both days. Girl’s Lax be starting our annual Winter indoor sessions this coming Sunday evening (1/10/21) at Maple Zone. Like everything else we have experienced in the last 9-10 months, this will look slightly different than it did in the past. Players will still be required to supply their own: - headgear/goggles... - sticks - mouthguard - MASKS Sessions will be slightly shorter so that we can divide the group into three sessions based on currently enrolled grade. 4 -5:15 PM - Grades K-2. 5:20-6:40 PM - Grades 3-5. 6:40-8 PM - Grades 6-8. The cost will be $85. Basketball registration will close this Sunday 1/10/21. To be guaranteed a spot you need to register by this Sunday. Below are the topics we covered last week. Please review all that applies to you and your family Masks... Facility Schedule/Team Registration Spectators DE residents 1) Masks: For the safety of all in the gym, a mask covering the mouth and nose WILL BE required at all times in the gym. This includes players on the court during practices and games. There will be no exemptions. 2) Facility: All games and practices will be at the BYC fieldhouse (including K and 1st grade). We will only be using Court 1 and Court 3 to comply with social distancing and indoor capacity guidance. Also, we will not be using GVSD gyms like we have in the past. 3) Teams: A team announcement will be sent out week of 1/18. Based on the number of players, we may need to combine 2 or maybe 3 grades to create a full league. i.e: 3rd and 4th graders may be playing together this year. Special requests are not guaranteed. Practice Schedule: Practice day/time will be announced during the team announcement. Game schedules: Game schedules will be released to the coaches and they will communicate to the players/families. 4) Registration: Registration will close once league/grade is full or by next Sunday 1/10/21. Due to limited gym space and social distancing, registration will be limited. We will start a wait list after 1/10/21, but will NOT be guaranteed that there will be space. To guarantee a spot this season please register this week. 5) Spectators: There will be no spectators during practices for any grade levels. Spectators for games: TBD (If spectators are allowed, it will be one spectator per player. 6) DE residents: Due to State of PA travel restriction, the BYC Board has no choice but to limit this year's intramural season to PA residents only. The DELCO Food Project will be accepting non-perishable food item donations tomorrow during the ‘FEED ME’ flag football charity tournament at the Maplezone Sports Village (4881 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA 19014) from 3-7pm. Thank you and good luck to all our BYC families participating in this flag football game charity event. You can drive up and make donations without contact. All you have to do is pull in to park, pop your trunk, and a volunteer will transport the items. Thanks for any help you can provide to make sure we load them up for the holidays.
