Firstly we would like to thank everyone for all the kind words and prayers on the loss of our sweet little girl Harriet. Unfortunately our original post about this was accidentally deleted. So for those who might have missed our unbelievably unfortunate news yesterday, we lost our little greeter Harriet yesterday. Most everyone knew Harriet, though maybe not by name, everyone knew her. She would meet you in the parking lot upon arrival, and would usually follow you all the... way down to the office. If you were fortunate enough she would sometimes even follow you back up to your car to see you off. Though she greeted everyone, the thing most people noticed about her the most was her sweet little puff tail we would give her along with her summer hair cut. The loss of our girl is one that has hit us all pretty hard. The kennel will never be the same without her running up to greet everyone with her sweet little mews. But we take some peace in knowing she has been reunited with her brother Ozzie who we lost just 7 short months ago. We’re sure the first thing she did when she saw him was hiss at him (for those who don’t know that was Harriet’s favorite past time, hissing at her brother ) Rest easy now our sweet little greeter. We know you’ll be waiting to greet us all again some day

Hello everyone we just wanted to give you an update with all these new changes being put in place by our State Representative today. Even though no one is able to travel at this time, we are still allowed to be open for any boarding you might need. Whether it’s an emergency or you need to take care of someone, we’re here. Unfortunately our grooming services are not covered under this same allowance so our grooming shop will not be available for at least 2 weeks while this s...tay-at-home order is in place. To all of our customers out there we hope you are all healthy, following all orders put forth by the CDC and our State Representatives, and keeping some faith during this trying time. Just as you, we hope this will end soon and we’ll all be able to see each other again. But until then be safe, be healthy, and God Bless. See you soon, The Brizes Kennel Family

Despite everything going on with closures due to the Coronavirus, we hope everyone was still able to have a great St Patrick’s Day yesterday. Indeed we are still open and we’re here for everyone for when and if you’ll be able to travel in the coming weeks/months. Stay positive, practice good hygiene, and love your families. Despite the circumstances cherish this extra time some of you get to spend with your families, and don’t forget your furry family members too ... Stay healthy and we hope to be able to see all of your again soon, The Brizes Kennel Family

They tell you not to cry. They tell you that it's just a dog, not a human being. They tell you that the pain will be over.... They tell you that the animals don't know that they have to die. They tell you that it's important not to let him suffer. They tell you that you can have another one. They tell you it's going to happen to you. They tell you that there is more pain. But they don't know how many times you've looked into your dog’s eyes. They don't know how many times you and your dog have looked into darkness alone. They don't know how many times your dog was the only one who was by your side. They don't know how much fear you have at night when you wake up with your grief. They don't know how many times your dog slept near you. They don't know how much you've changed since the dog has become a part of your life. They don't know how many times you hugged him when he was sick. They don't know how many times you've acted like you didn't see his hair getting whiter. They don't know how many times you've talked to your dog, the only one who really hears. They don't know that it was just your dog who knew you were in pain. They don't know what it feels like to see your old dog trying to get up to say hello. They don't know that if things went wrong, the only one who didn't go is your dog. They don't know that your dog trusts you every moment of his life, even in the last. They don't know how much your dog loved you and how it is enough for him to be happy, because you loved him. They don't know that crying for a dog is one of the most noble, significant, true, purest and warmest things you can do. They don't know when the last time you moved him with trouble... making sure it didn’t hurt him. They don't know what it felt like to pet their face in the last moments of their life.... In Memory of all those who went over the rainbow bridge. You all have a place forever in our hearts Photo Travis Patenaude. - author Emanuele Spud Grandi
