We are your dental team. We work long days in multiple masks, shields, and protective gowns that transform us into walking terrariums by lunch. A rushed lunch w...e typically eat outside just for the fresh air, or at our desks, six feet apart. We speak to hundreds of people to reschedule hundreds of appointments while having to allow adequate time to meet the rigorous new standards imposed upon us in order to keep you safe. We are a team that looks out for each other. We check in with each other through the day to lend a hand, or help any way we can. We make sure the Doctor has a snack if he needs it. We make sure that you are safe, and that we keep ourselves and our families safe. We try to keep our small business afloat and worry together about how to make ends meet in uncertain times, when only bills remain certain. We work hard with smiles on our faces and find time to laugh together. But we're human, and we're tired. We've only just begun this journey into the "newness" of working in a high risk field during a worldwide pandemic. We hear the nasty tone in your voice when you don't get what you want when you want it. We understand your frustration. It's not because we don't want to help, that's exactly what we're here to do! We didn't ask for, nor did we make, the "new rules" we have to follow. But we ARE trying and doing our best. Please try to remember that. A little more understanding and kindness goes a long way.
