There are many ways to be neighborly and invest in community health. Some days, it can be as simple as replacing a neighbors broken porch light or giving away some Russian potato salad. What other ideas have come to mind? As we’re able to give and serve others, our hearts can stay a little softer while we endure this unforgiving season. By practicing kind neighborly actions during this pandemic, we write a different kind of pandemic story.

We installed these on the only door they would work on, the restroom door! The restroom door can now be opened with a forearm or with the foot opener mounted at the bottom of the door. We’re thankful for companies coming up with solutions. We love this solution to handle touching. It potentially increases accessibility for customers unable to grip doorknobs as well. Great product, easy to install. Recommend!

This virus has continued to keep us humbled. We will remain open from 8am-5pm daily for take-out, curbside pick-up and delivery. If you need a delivery because you’re in quarantine, order through our website or call us at 412-784-1478. The indoor dining restaurant/pub/coffee shop experience is not compatible with slowing the viral spread. We applaud the commonwealth for finally making the call to protect workers and neighbors. ... We are also deeply grieved with the Congress’ lack of care for small businesses and workers who have been devastated. We’re grateful the shop is open and stable. We will continue to do what we do.

This is a monumental time of service. Yes, we have dealt with some harassment during the pandemic, but not as much as our peers. Two reasons come to mind: 1. We have low tolerance for behaviors that are unsafe or if any of us feel unsafe. We’re firm, it’s final and you’ve likely heard stories. We’ve created a safe workspace for ourselves because we deserve that and we fiercely protect that. ... 2. Our customers, you! We have learned along the way about proper mask etiquette, social distancing and more. When we learn something new to implement, your embrace of our changes continues to keep us safe. So, THANK YOU! This article is sobering and true. Harassment has gone up for service industry staff. Thanks for participating with us as we write a different pandemic story. Thank you for doing your part to ensure your and our safety, as we do our part to ensure them as well. We are in this together, neighbors. Eggs for days! Come get your eggs! We have so many! We are happy to offer a great price for a dozen farm fresh eggs, everyday> $5 a dozen. We sell eggs from two different farms, Mercer County Farms and @serenityhillfarms that are delivered weekly with our milk by @mediumrarefoods .... Stacey has visited Serenity Hill Farm and tells us that they are both a small family farm and a great operation. Thanks also to Shane with Medium Rare Foods, who made sure we got our delivery this week despite our closure. We have the BEST vendors.
