This reduction in your taxable income will affect the refund or amount you may owe. If your tax return has already been filed, you will have to have an amended return completed. Due to the fact that the IRS is still working on around 70,000 pieces of mail from 20...19, you will surely not see a response from them for months. Capones Tax Service has no way of knowing when this will be put into effect. Please refrain from calling the office to check on the date this will occur. If you proceed with the filing of your tax return with the intention of filing that amended return, please be aware that there is an additional charge to file an amendment.
