Our members are so excited to learn that the sword belonging to Capt. William Magill resides at a local museum! We look forward to being able to safely gather again so we can rediscover more of this amazing museum's period pieces.

It's wonderful to find out that this War of 1812 veteran and early American leader has his sword returned after a college prank 40 years ago.

Bounty Land Warrant applications are a wonderful source for all sorts of genealogical gems! One recent applicant and new member found an exact marriage date, a wife's maiden name, and confirmation that the veteran died while visiting family in another state which explained the lack of death records locally.
