Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament

Due to the pandemic, the obligation to attend Mass has been waived. For those who would like to participate in the Eucharist to celebrate the Solemnity of Mary's Immaculate Conception, Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 7, at 5:30 PM and on Tuesday, December 8, at 8:00 AM, Noon, and 5:30 PM.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available during Advent on Sundays at 4:00 PM, Wednesdays at 7:00 PM, and on Saturdays at 12:30 PM. The Sacrament will also be available following the 6:45 AM and Noon Masses the week of December 14.

The prophet Isaiah is called upon to speak words of comfort, hope, and tenderness to a people who had suffered the pain of exile long enough. The current pandemic has exiled us from the life we had known and I suspect that most people have had enough of it. We yearn for comfort, hope, and tenderness too. Emmanuel, God with us, is our reason for hope and our source of tender comfort. Be gentle with yourself and with others today.
