CFI Automation & Security aids Detectives in Arrest of Armed Robbery Suspect: Man arrested in pair of Upper Southampton armed robberies UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TWP., Pa. - Police in Upper Southampton have made an arrest in the armed robberies of a Speedway gas station.... 26-year-old Phillip Grimm of Southampton, Pa. was charged with armed robbery, theft by unlawful taking, aggravated assault, and related offenses. The first robbery occurred just before 6 p.m. on February 10 at the gas station on the 700 block of Street Road. Police say the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the register. After receiving cash, police say Grimm fled the area in a vehicle which was parked in an adjacent parking lot. Then at approximately 1:25 p.m. on February 14th, police say Grimm robbed the same store at gunpoint. He fled in the same vehicle. A local security company, CFI Automation & Security, was asked to review video footage with detectives from one of their neighboring installations. With the aid of the very astute employee they determined the vehicle was a dark colored Chevrolet Equinox with a faded white sticker on the rear window. On the video footage, the security company employee noticed, as vehicle fled the scene, the driver turned into a local neighborhood across from the Speedway gas station. The local authorities agreed and concentrated their search in the immediate area. The following week while on patrol, an Upper Southampton Township police officer noticed a vehicle fitting the description parked at a home on a street close to the Speedway gas station. One of the residents at the home, identified as Grimm, was known to police from prior incidents. Police say he confessed to committing both armed robberies in order to support a substance abuse addiction to heroin. Grimm was arraigned and bail was set at $100,000. He is being held at Bucks County Prison.

How to Create a Santa Alert with a CFI Automation & Security Alarm System We all know that Santa visits every year, and on Christmas morning the empty plate of cookies and a note from the big guy himself makes it all the more special. Now, your Alarm.com security system can add an extra touch of magic with a custom smartphone alert confirming that Santa's visited. It's easy to set up. Here's what to do. ... 1: Designate a Chimney Sensor On Christmas Eve, log into Alarm.com and go to the Security tab. Click the Sensors tab underneath, then pick a contact sensor to use. Rename the sensor "Chimney Sensor". Don't have a chimney? "Santa Sensor" will do. 2: Set up a notification Go to the Notifications tab and click New Notification. Under the Standard tab, you'll find a Sensor Activity option. Click on it. Check the Chimney box, then add yourself as a recipient and save the notification. 3: Santa's here Before you go to bed on Christmas Eve, open the back door. The contact sensor will trigger a timestamped smartphone alert, reporting that the chimney sensor was activated. Now go to bed quickly, before the real Santa comes. 4: Amaze the kids!
