Members, We are experiencing mechanical issues at the pool with both the chlorinator and vacuum. We are going to close the pool this week with the hopes that replacement parts and repairs can be completed in time for us to open Labor Day weekend, which is the last weekend of the season. Members, The pool and concession stand will be open until 10 pm for night swim this Friday, August 14th. We will continue with the extended pool hours until August 30th. Operating hours will be adjusted beginning August 31st. Please refer to the schedule below.... Members, The pool will extend operating hours effective July 13th through August 30th. We will close at 9 pm seven days a week and will open at 11 am on Saturdays and Sundays. Members, Unfortunately, with Governor Wolfe's face mask mandate announcement yesterday, we are now forced to require face coverings at the pool. Face coverings are NOT required while swimming in the pool or if you are distanced from others while seated in the grass. We are sorry to have to enforce this mandate, but run the risk of being shut down if we don't comply. Please review the information below. These signs will be posted at the pool. ... Members, Start your 4th of July festivities with a bang! Hang out with us this Friday for our first night swim of 2020!... We’ll be open until 11 with the concession stand stocked! See you there! No rafts will be permitted at this time.

Exciting news!! We are now offering popcorn, hot pretzels, pepperoni rolls, and nachos with cheese at the concession stand.

It's finally here! Opening Day is Monday, June 15th. Below are some reminders. Please review them before coming to the pool. As expected, there will be adjustments to our operations this season. Due to the fluid nature of this situation, these policies are subject to change as the season progresses. The board will revisit the list (guest policy, CV days, concession stand, etc.) at the beginning of July. We will keep everyone updated via email and our Facebook page. Please be... respectful of others. If you are not feeling well, do not come to the pool. Pool hours will be 12-8 PM. Please check in at the front gate upon arrival. An employee will verify membership and sign members in. Please be patient with this process. It is to ensure everyone's safety. Guests will not be permitted. CV Days and Monday night pool parties are suspended until further notice. Please make sure to leave with what you bring. There will not be a lost and found this year. Any items left at the pool will be disposed of in the trash daily. Lounge chairs will not be set out this season. Members are welcome to bring their own chairs. Masks are at each member's discretion. Lifeguards are not required to wear masks. Lifeguards will not enforce social distancing. This is the responsibility of the members. Please be considerate. The sanitizing schedule will be every 4 hours. The baby pool will be open and will require an adult with child/children at all times. No one under 12 years old will be permitted at the pool without an adult/caregiver. Please make sure to review all signs posted around the pool and follow the rules.The water fountain will not be set up this season. The concession stand will be open with a limited menu. Hot food will not be prepared; only prepackaged items will be available (chips, popcorn, candy, popsicles, drinks, etc). Tickets must be purchased at the front gate to redeem at the concession stand. Swim team is on hold until the BVSC meeting on July 1st. Private swim lessons will not be offered. We are now accepting reservations for birthday parties. It’s happening....

This year marks Chapel Valley Swim Club's 50th anniversary! We have never missed a season. Please don't let this be the first. With the Governor's recent announcement that public pools are permitted to open, we would like to move forward with getting the pool prepped and ready to go. We, however, cannot do so without proper financing. To date, we have received about half of the dues that we normally collect. It is not enough. If you intend to join the pool this summer, please... submit your dues now. If you do not plan to join this summer, please reply to let us know that as well so we can budget accordingly. We are targeting an opening date of June 15th and are excited to unveil our newly constructed pavilion to commemorate our 50th anniversary. We are also in the process of completing renovations to the bathrooms. Of course these projects were planned/budgeted for prior to the pandemic and we would love nothing more than for our members to enjoy the upgraded facilities this summer. Members, It has been extremely difficult to plan under the current circumstances. We, just like everyone else, are waiting to hear from government officials about how and when we can proceed. We did want to let everyone know that the board voted this evening and we will be waiving the late fee this year. As for prorating, it will be split into thirds for June, July and August. For example, if we are closed the month of June, a family membership would receive a $93 refund. T...hank you for your patience and continued support as we work through this situation. Members, We realize these are uncertain times, but want you to know that we are working hard to keep things moving forward and anticipate opening the pool as planned. We will reschedule the General Membership Meeting as soon as possible and notify you via email. In the meantime, a few reminders:... Opening day is scheduled for Saturday, May 23rd at noon. Annual dues for returning members must be received by May 1st to avoid a $25 late fee. We are adhering to the May 1st deadline as it directly affects our planning and budgeting for the upcoming season. The board will consider prorating dues in the event the pool opening is impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic. For our second year members that elected to split the $300 membership fee, please include the $150 balance with your dues. **FEW REMINDERS ** **Our pool is a members only pool. Our members are allowed to invite non residents of Central Valley daily. We also offer a Central Valley day each Wednesday for residents of CV to enjoy the pool. There is a copy of the rules and regulations under our membership tab on our site. **Also in regards to signing in, the use of fictitious names will result in removal from the pool.... **Absolutely no food or drink in the pool and no visible alcohol containers on pool property. We encourage members to talk to a board member or our manager with any concerns you may have regarding membership or safety. If you suspect people coming in illegally let us know! It’s not fair to our paying members and they will be removed. Please check out the Rules and Regulations tab under Membership on our site for more information. Message from the manager: Due to the excessive heat alert Friday and Saturday, you may notice the lifeguards changing positions more often. This will be done on a mandatory 10-15 minute basis both days to prevent our guards from being out in the direct sun and heat for long durations. Adult swims will be held every hour on the hour for a 15 minute duration starting at 1 o'clock to ensure all adults have a chance to cool off "splash free". Please remind your children to stay hydrated if they are attending the pool without you. Bottled water is available for purchase at the concession stand every day. Thank you.
