We are sorry to announce that Chestnut Grove Family Resort was sold yesterday on 7/21/2020. We are truly sorry to our guests. We recognize that without your support, we could never have held out this long. We were extremely lucky to have so many loyal guests and wonderful employees guiding us through these 6 years. This would have been our 7th year. We will never forget you guys and hope to see you from time to time. We are proud that we kept Chestnut Grove going for addition...al 6 years for you. It breaks our heart that we will no longer have Chestnut Grove. It has become a part of our life. With COVID-19, the pandemic became an existential threat to us and many small businesses like ours. Although the decision was heartbreaking, the choices are limited. With multiple loans, we could not have survived without any income for this year. The process is bitter, but the time was right for our family. It has come to this most difficult moment for us. The new owner will repurpose the current operation and not taking over the existing reservations. For those who still have reservations with us. Your deposit money will be refunded and mailed to you through online check payment service as soon as possible. Please allow us 1-2 weeks to process these refunds. Dear Chestnut Grove Family Resort Guests, I hope everyone is doing well and staying health. Two months ago, we were discussing with Kathleen about lining things up for this upcoming summer. We wish this virus will end soon, we wish to see you and host you this year and we wish we know. However, it is unknown what will happen at this point. Which is also a reason why we feel the need to reach to everyone right now. ... First, we want you to know that even in the mist of this virus, we are still working on the cabins. We are finishing floor renovation for 7 additional cabins from 28 to 34. So, some of you might see a good change this year. I think you guys should know now that we always do something every year. We received some cancellations for the past weeks. We are processing those right now. We understand if you feel the need to cancel your reservation with us, especially those with reservations coming up soon. We also received more considerations from our guests to move their reservation to next year. We want you to know that this gesture is greatly appreciated. It really means a lot to us if you can move your reservation to next year instead of canceling it completely. As of right now, we don’t foresee we are able to open in May. As the corona virus situation progress, we will also continue to make announcement to keep everyone updated with our decisions about opening. Secondly, we are very fortunate to purchase some masks with our connections in China. These are surgical masks (A box of 50 masks each). We intend to donate these to our local community and hospitals. But before we do that, we want to extend these masks to the frequent guests (at least 3 stays in past 6 years) of Chestnut Grove Resort extended families. Keep in mind that we only have limited quantity of masks (It’s on a first come first serve base, we have only about 100 boxes available). We also have very limited numbers of KN95 masks. If you have a need for N95 masks, we can send you 20 in a box. We are not able to send you both surgical and N95 masks, please pick one. I want to ask our guests to be mindful, please contact us only if you have a real need for these masks. They are medial grade masks. Any masks we have left, we would donate them to our local community and hospitals. We are limiting 1 box of 50 surgical masks or 1 box of 20 KN95 mask per household. We will do this free of charge. If you have visited us at least three times since we took over, please email us at [email protected] with the following info - Subject: Mask Request - Your Name (The one on your reservation) - Your Address - Your Phone Number - 1 box of 50 surgical masks or 1 box of 20 KN95 mask We’ll mail them out ASAP, and we’ll post on Chestnut Grove Resort Facebook page if we ran out. For years, Jerry R Jie and I wanted to make a change or an additional to our beautiful lake. I think......pause...... I KNOW this year is finally going to be the year that we make it happen!

Hi everyone it’s your kids social director cailley! Summer will be here before we know it and I can not wait to see all my wonderful kiddos! I have lots of cool new ideas for us and I can’t wait to share them with you. The schedule is currently still in the making so keep an eye out for it as we get closer to June. Hello all. We will be opening our doors again for our 2019 season. 1st weekend will be May 17th -19th, followed by Memorial Day Weekend on May 24th-26th and of course our 1980's/Rock & Roll Weekend that will be totally Rad Looking forward to seeing all our friends again.
