The first cycle of the Choosito Virtual Librarian pilots has been completed. It is with immense gratitude to all the participating organizations, teachers, coordinators, volunteers, and students that we share this short video sharing our experience. An experience that has left us with a much deeper understanding of the circumstances, challenges, opportunities, dreams, and frustrations of the children and teachers we are trying to support. The Virtual Librarian is already ten ...times better than it was three short months ago. As we were preparing the report for the 3rd and final round of the XPRIZE competition, we were really tired trying to pull everything togethe but felt so much warmth as we were looking at the real impact of this huge team effort. We keep our fingers crossed to become finalists and we look forward to continue our collaboration in the second and final cycle. The Founder and CEO of Choosito, Ms Eleni Miltsakaki visited our Learning Centre in Patision today, together with her colleague, Ms Vicky Ioannidou, inaugurating the partnership between ELIX and the digital library for children. The event was celebrated with a pizza party for children, parents and teachers of the "Learning for Integration" project that we are implementing in Attica with the support of UNICEF, IOM and DG HOME.
