Did you know that once your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has been processed, you may make certain types of changes to it? Changes you can make: 1. Corrections, if you made a mistake. 2. Changes to contact information.... 4. If selected for FAFSA verification. 5. Adding a Federal School code. What if something about your financial situation changed? "Most information cannot be updated because it must be accurate as of the day you originally signed your FAFSA form. For example, if you spent some of your savings after filing the FAFSA form, you may not update your information to show a change in that amount. You should speak to the financial aid office at the school you plan to attend if there will be a significant change in your or your parent’s income for the present year or if your family has other circumstances that cannot be reported on the FAFSA form." Check out our newsletter article or the FAFSA site for more details! https://www.tutortestprep.com/blog/archives/12-2016 https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/next-steps/correct-update

Did you know that Christianson Tutorials has been tutoring for over 20 years? Our one-on-one personalized tutoring enables us to craft how we teach the content and strategies to match the unique learning style and personality of each of our students. While tutoring is not the right solution for all of our students, it consistently produces much greater score increases compared to cram courses, online classes, or self-study. There is simply no way to customize the learning... process when you are teaching 15 students or following a program designed for a large audience. When is tutoring the right solution? Tutoring is effective when the student is committed to staying engaged in the tutoring session and to completing homework assignments. Debbie has this to say about us: "Christianson Tutorials was a great asset for my 3 children in the college admissions process. John Christianson's one-on-one sessions helped each of kids be better prepared to take their standardized tests. He individualized lesson plans and found different ways of talking to each child based on their needs. My daughter specifically said his test taking tips were incredibly valuable. Taking the tests aren't just about knowledge, they ar...e knowing how to approach the problem. John is an expert at doing just that. He taught skills for speeding up the math section by plugging in answers. His idea to figure out the answers to reading questions before reading the multiple choice options also was of great help. These are tips that must be taught and cannot be gained just by buying a practice book. John also provides superb material for all aspects of the test, including a grammar packet that taught my kids lessons they hadn't had in school. I have no doubt my children's scores improved significantly because of the time spent with John Christianson." Thanks, Debbie!
