Our committee just received notice today of a Kane High fall dance taking place soon at a wildcat park in Ludlow. Not sponsored in any way by the Kane School District. We are trying to find out more information about the dance. We aren’t even sure if it’s a formal dance or jeans and a hoodie? We will try have discussions this weekend and hopefully decide if we are able to safely provide our dress service by early next week. If anyone has dance information or has a contact person in charge of the dance, please comment or send us a message. Thank you.

Hello! Hope you all are having a fun and safe summer. We wanted to let you all know that we are in the process of requesting information from our local high schools as to their details for possible dances this coming school year. We know that with the current social distancing required from the Pa Dept of Education, chances for dances are slim. But we know of some local proms that were able to be held safely and went well. Once we start receiving responses from the schools, we will update you all too. Until then, good luck to everyone starting classes soon!

PLEASE SHARE Cinderella’s Closet of Kane executive board and committee members have decided that we will not be able to hold open hours for the upcoming Elk County proms. It is still a time of uncertainty and there are quite a few committee members who feel uncomfortable and unsafe volunteering at our shoppe. This organization is a group effort and without all hands on deck, we do not have the staffing to open. We hope you understand our concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Just graduate? Going back college in the fall? Have a closet with homecoming or prom dresses in the back that you will never wear again? Donate them! Your gowns will make so many girls feel beautiful just like you did in them. All donations may be dropped off at the Kane Community Center, Grandma Bairs Restaurant and The Spoonwood Inn Motel in Kane or the Buddy Boy Winery in Ridgway during their normal business hours. We accept all New and Gently worn, Current styles of prom gowns and homecoming dresses in any size or color, dress shoes and jewelry. Thank you!! 501c3 tax receipts available upon request. As announced this morning, with all Pennsylvania schools closed the remainder of the school year, we are canceling our prom schedule. ****When this pandemic is over and if our local schools are permitted and decide to hold proms during the summer months, please make our organization committee aware of any dates, which schools and we will do our very best to have open hours. ****To our 2020 seniors, we are so sorry your last year wasn’t what you planned and it was cut short. But know, we are so proud of all your accomplishments and we know you will all go on and do GREAT things in your futures. ****Please continue to stay home, wash your hands and stay safe. We will see you all soon.
