IT’S FRIDAY! ALMOST THE WEEKEND!! AND HOPEFULLY THE LAST DAY FOR GARBAGE and RECYCLING UPDATES FOR THIS WEEK!!! MASCARO will be collecting two (2) neighborhoods - off of Belmont St - and two (2) neighborhoods - off of Canaan St - TODAY - to complete the recycling. ... TRASH ROUTES ARE COMPLETE AND CAUGHT UP. They will be circling back to a few missed houses / bulk items not collected / mattresses not properly sealed at the time / etc.... IF YOUR TRASH or RECYCLING WAS NOT PICKED UP, and ITS STILL OUT ON RGE CURB, PLEASE MESSAGE US or EMAIL US ([email protected]). THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF PATIENCE WITH THIS SITUATION!!!! (2/11/21) I’m starting to feel like DR RACHEL LEVINE, with these DAILY BRIEFINGS... As per upper management at JP MASCARO...... TRASH - TO BE PICKED UP TODAY: - Washington St / Spring St / Park St / 7th Ave / 8th Ave / Salem Ave / Laurel St. (These streets will be first today.) - The normal Thursday route is on schedule. RECYCLING - Update: - There will be 2 trucks in town - TODAY (Thursday) AND TOMORROW (Friday)... so All Recycling should be picked up BY END OF DAY - FRIDAY. ADDITIONAL UPDATE FROM MASCARO.... (Their Main Priority will be Collecting GARBAGE.) WEDNESDAY (today - 2/10): ... -Finish the Tuesday Garbage Route - Complete the Wednesday Garbage Route. THURSDAY (2/11): - Complete the Thursday Garbage Route. THURS/FRI/SAT: Finish Collecting RECYCLING (CityWide). (They said LEAVE IT OUT.) SATURDAY (2/13): -Finish any/all Recycling and/or Garbage MISSES (City-Wide) Hope that helps clarify what their PLAN is for the next few days...

GARBAGE & RECYCLING UPDATE: We had a conversation with the Supervisor of J.P. MASCARO today... He is very aware of the current situation with missed days, miscommunication, etc. ... He stated that All divisions at Mascaro are struggling with manpower and the weather. However, he assured us that they will catch up. SO, HERE IS THE PLAN - for the remainder of this week.... TOMORROW (WED-2/10): - Finish the Tuesday Garbage Route (Canaan, Belmont, All side Streets). - Finish recycling on the West Side. - Complete Wednesday Trash Route THURSDAY (2/11): - Collect Normal Thursday Trash Route SATURDAY (2/13): - Collect any/all misses from during the week.

GARBAGE COLLECTION in the City of Carbondale will be suspended on Thursday - November 26, 2020 - due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Thursday route will be collected on Friday, November 27, 2020. From all of us at City Hall... we wish everyone a very Happy, Healthy & Safe THANKSGIVING!!!
