Engine, Tanker, and Utility 22 all responded to this blaze on Laurel Run Road, in Boggs Township. Engine 22-2 arrived on scene, its crew pulled an attack line and made entry through the side of the house and began an attack. Shortly after making entry, the roof began to collapse and the evacuation tones sounded. Crews evacuated and began a defensive mode. Engine 22-2 then supplied Truck 57 with water. Tanker 22 dumped several loads of water. Crews operated for several hours, before returning to service. Thank you to Port Matilda Fire CO. 15 for transferring to our station for the duration of the incident.

Company 22 units are clearing from the 57 box in Boggs Township. Crews have been on the scene for multiple hours, and the home is a total loss.

The Columbia Fire Company deeply regrets to announce the passing of Life Member, Stephen Daniel Demchak. Mr Demchak was a life member of our department, and has provided many years of service to the community. We ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. Engine Rescue 22 build update. Pierce has scheduled completion for October 28th, 2020. The engine committee will be making the trip to Appleton, Wisconsin in the first week of November for Final Inspection. More updates to come!
