Community Day School joins the entire day school community in mourning the death of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, who passed away this Shabbat. Rabbi Sacks inspired a love of Judaism, of learning, and of humankind in everyone he reached. He powerfully advocated for the central role of Jewish day schools in building our strong Jewish future. Thanks to all the amazing young inventors who joined us this morning for a special Chanukah celebration at PJ Library Pittsburgh Invention Time! We had so much fun reading, imagining, and creating together with you, and we wish you and your families a Chanukah filled with love and light. Stay tuned for the announcement of more PJ Invention Time dates soon!

3rd graders learning about Parashat Noach designed, measured, and built their own Arks with Giveret Glick ... and then filled tubs using the outdoor handwashing station to test their hypotheses about whether they would actually float!
