Here’s a remarkable story about one of our Concordia at Cabot residents that will end your week on the right note. Oertel resident Kathryn Barch has personally donated over 500 crocheted items to different schools, churches and charity organizations across the country. She started crocheting after her daughter introduced her to the hobby four years ago and it became a favorite pastime. Now she crochets two items a day and makes hats to give to people in need. Here’s a heartwarming story that will start your week off on the right note. The Woods couple at Concordia of Monroeville haven’t seen each other for several weeks due to COVID-19 restrictions as well as living in different areas of the building. Our staff wanted to make sure they were able to celebrate the holiday season together, and once it was safe to do so, set up a private holiday dinner for the couple to reunite and spend New Years together! Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.
